Telexx

Formerly known as Coleco, the sound of Telexx is pure noise pop, a genre from which bands such as Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. were mostly responsible for. The band is from Argentina and has five members with strange biographies, including it’s lead singer Shamel, and they’ve already recorded an EP that can be downloaded from their website. There’s also a couple of cover songs, Schizophrenia (Sonic Youth) and a great version of Ruby Tuesday (The Rolling Stones).

Rosal

It’s the musical project lead by singer Maria Ezquiaga, along with Ezequiel Kronenberg and Mart?n Caama?o on guitars, Julieta Ulanovsky on bass guitar, Fernando Samalea on drums and Dar?o Calequi on keyboards.
Rosal is the spanish word for rosebush, and I think it’s a well picked name, as their songs are of an acoustic nature and sometimes even jazzy. But if you listen closely, you’ll find that their lyrics are loaded with irony and a female perspective on things. They’ve two albums, Educaci?n Sentimental (2004) and Rosal (2005).
